About the Role
Threekit is seeking an Implementation Consultant to build and support customer configurators, CPQ flows, and integrations on the Threekit platform. This role combines hands-on development with client-facing consulting on implementation projects and managed services accounts. It adds early-career delivery capacity to our Consulting team, with a path to Implementation Consultant and Solution Architect. This is a hybrid role, requiring residence within a reasonable daily commuting distance of our Chicago office.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and update configurator front ends, configuration rules, and pricing logic using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and the Threekit APIs, working from specs written by Solution Architects.
- Join discovery calls, demo work in progress, and communicate status, risks, and trade-offs to customers in plain language.
- Deliver project work on schedule, promote changes from development through production, and flag risks and scope changes to your Technical Project Manager early.
- Troubleshoot customer-reported issues and document root cause, fixes, and handoff notes.
- Pass client friction and edge cases back to Forward Deployed Engineers and Engineering to improve the core product.
- Track time accurately against client projects.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- 0–2 years of professional software development; internships, co-ops, and substantial project work count.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS, including REST APIs and Git.
- A consultative mindset and clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences, including on customer calls.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required (approx. 15%).
Preferred Skills
- Client-facing experience in consulting, an agency, professional services, or customer support.
- Building with AI-assisted IDEs such as Cursor or Copilot, or with LLM APIs.
- Exposure to 3D on the web (Three.js, WebGL) or to eCommerce and CPQ platforms (Salesforce, Shopify, SAP).
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: Coursework or projects in web development, 3D graphics, or UX design.
