Position: Associate

About the Role
ABC Legal is building its team for retainer work for a corporate client. We need a lawyer who can dig in, work hard, and support the partner on commercial drafting, advisory, and day-to-day counsel for a demanding live retainer. This is for someone with zeal, determination, and a practical mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and related documents.
- Research and note regulatory and compliance points clearly for the partner.
- Work with the client’s teams in plain language.
- Keep files, versions, and status notes in order.
- Own workstreams and turn work around to commercial timelines.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Comfortable drafting in English.
- Working to deadlines.
- Discretion with confidential and commercially sensitive material.
Qualifications
- LL.B. from a recognized Indian university.
- Enrolled with a State Bar Council.
- Zeal, determination, and a practical mindset — attitude matters more than a neat CV path.
- Relevant prior experience that you can discuss at interview is welcome; it is not a hard filter.
