Associate Attorney

About the Role

Beta is a dynamic, product-based software company focused on engineering high-performance digital solutions. The Associate Attorney will provide legal support and guidance across Beta’s operations, with a particular focus on employment-related matters and corporate compliance. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing and drafting contracts, policies, and agreements.
• Conducting legal research.
• Preparing clear, practical legal advice for leadership and internal teams.
• Advising on labor and employment law issues.
• Supporting negotiations with partners or third parties.
• Assisting in resolving legal disputes or employee-related matters.
• Collaborating closely with HR, operations, and management to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, including workplace policies, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in legal research to analyze statutes, case law, and regulations relevant to the company’s operations.
• Effective negotiation skills to support contracts, settlements, and agreements with internal and external parties.
• Ability to provide clear, concise legal advice to non-legal stakeholders and support decision-making processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work on-site in Tiruvallur, collaborate across teams, and manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law with practical experience applying legal principles in a corporate or commercial setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from an accredited institution.
• Enrollment with the Bar Council and eligibility to practice law.
• Prior experience in corporate, technology, or startup environments is an advantage.
