About the Role
Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Food Service Associate to join the Food and Nutrition Services Department. This full-time position involves preparing, assembling, and delivering food for patients and cafeteria customers, as well as cleaning food service equipment and work areas. The role may also include shuttling food products to off-site locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and demonstrate the Organizational Mission, Core Values, and Vision.
- Prepare and assemble food items for patients on regular and modified diets.
- Prepare and assemble food items for cafeteria customers.
- Deliver and retrieve patient food trays.
- Serve food items to cafeteria customers.
- Clean and sanitize food service equipment and work areas.
- Assist in the dish room as needed.
- Shuttle food products to off-site locations (if applicable, a driver's license record and a valid Idaho Driver's License will be required).
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic reading and oral communication skills are required.
- Ability to operate equipment used by Food Service staff.
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble machines for cleaning.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Previous food service experience is helpful.
Schedule
- This position is scheduled for at least 40 hours per week.
- May include weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
- Schedule is subject to change.
