Lift Technician

About the Role

Alpha Elevators is seeking motivated and technically skilled Elevator Technicians / Lift Technicians for full-time, permanent positions in Chennai, Madurai, and Coimbatore.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission passenger lifts, freight elevators, and commercial elevators.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of elevators and lifting systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and elevator control system faults.
• Attend elevator breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs.
• Inspect, repair, and replace defective elevator components.
• Troubleshoot electrical wiring, control panels, and related elevator equipment.
• Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Follow prescribed safety procedures and elevator maintenance standards.
• Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and job documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, supervisors, and internal service teams.
• Travel to customer locations across South India whenever required.

• Elevator installation and commissioning
• Lift servicing and preventive maintenance
• Elevator breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting
• Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis
• Control panel troubleshooting and electrical wiring
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings
• Problem-solving and practical technical skills
• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Knowledge of elevator safety procedures

Qualifications

• ITI Electrician, ITI Fitter, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Relevant experience in elevator installation, lift maintenance, elevator servicing, or breakdown repair is preferred.
• Freshers with a strong interest in the elevator industry are welcome.
• Candidates must be willing to travel to customer sites across South India.
• A valid two-wheeler driving licence is preferred.
