Role Overview

As a Producer Management Developer Engineer, you will be in charge of developing, configuring, customizing, and deploying applications on the Unqork and AWS platforms to meet complex business requirements. You’ll collaborate with cross-tech teams and business teams to drive the successful delivery of business solutions. This role demands strong technical expertise, programming, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Build solutions on the Unqork SaaS platform as part of a larger Producer Management development team.
• Build cloud solutions on the AWS platform as part of the same Producer Management ecosystem.
• Work with team engineer leads, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Ensure applications and components are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop reusable components and modules on the Unqork Platform.
• Perform rigorous unit testing and debugging to deliver robust and defect-free solutions.
• Develop into an internal application SME for the technical systems you support in your value stream.
• Develop integrations between the Unqork platform, AWS platform, and necessary data, solutions, and services endpoints.
• Partner with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to refine and analyze the backlog and drive the technical delivery of features and user stories into working software.
• Stay current with the latest technology including but not limited to Unqork, AWS, database, and AI technologies.
• Actively participate in daily standup calls, sprint planning, and Program Increment (PI) planning sessions.
• Actively collaborate with and align with information, data, security, and infrastructure strategies.
• Partner with Business stakeholders to review and understand business requirements.
• Conduct complete assessments of complex business problems, including those involving multiple systems, customers, platforms, and technologies.
• Propose technology solutions within areas of the team’s development.
• Stay current on NYL architectural standards.
• Identify and suggest technical, architectural, and design improvements in current systems.
• Support the project through the entire software development lifecycle from initial kickoff to production deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 0-4 years professional experience as a developer / programmer / software engineer.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; can work independently to solve complex technical issues, unit test, and debug.
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, performance tuning, and report development.
• Object-Oriented programming experience and coursework.
• AI-driven development experience.
• Full-stack development experience.
• REST API development.
• Experience with document / NoSQL databases.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
