Shivara is a digital studio that designs and builds web and mobile products. We're growing our fintech work and hiring a Mobile Developer to build secure, fast and simple money apps, in the same space as Wise and Aspora, where people send, hold and convert money across borders.

About the Role

You'll own features end to end, from design discussions to release, monitoring and improvement. You'll work closely with product, design, backend and security to ship features like onboarding and KYC, multi-currency wallets, live FX rates, international transfers and card controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality iOS and/or Android features for a financial app
• Build core money flows: sign-up, identity verification (KYC), adding money, currency conversion, payments and transaction history
• Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs, payment providers and third-party SDKs (KYC, analytics, push notifications)
• Implement strong app security: biometric login, secure storage, certificate pinning and root/jailbreak detection
• Make the app fast and reliable on slow networks, with clear error states for money movements
• Write clean, testable code and take part in code reviews
• Ship releases using CI/CD, feature flags and crash/performance monitoring
• Build accessible, localised experiences for users across countries and currencies

Requirements & Tech Stack

• 0–2 years building mobile apps. Freshers with strong college, internship or personal projects on the Play Store, App Store or GitHub are welcome
• iOS: Swift, SwiftUI/UIKit, async/await
• Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow
• Or cross-platform: Flutter (Dart) or React Native (TypeScript)
• Architecture: MVVM, MVI or Clean Architecture
• Networking: REST, GraphQL, JSON, OAuth 2.0/JWT, local storage (Room, Core Data, SQLite)
• Security basics: Keychain/Keystore, biometrics, encryption, OWASP Mobile Top 10
• Testing: XCTest or JUnit/Espresso
• Tools: Git, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Fastlane), Firebase Crashlytics or Sentry
• Clear communication and ownership of your work

Nice to have

• Experience with fintech, banking, payments or remittance apps
• Knowledge of UPI, payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree, PayU) or wallet integrations
• Familiarity with KYC flows (Aadhaar eKYC, PAN, video KYC) and SDKs like HyperVerge, IDfy or Digio
• Understanding of RBI guidelines, the DPDP Act 2023 and PCI-DSS
• Analytics and experimentation tools (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
• Experience on both iOS and Android, or Kotlin Multiplatform
• Published apps or open-source work you can show us

• Salary of around ₹20,000 per month, negotiable based on experience, with a performance review after 6 months
