About the Role
Applications are invited for the position of Research Personnel in an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded project in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT (BHU) Varanasi. The project title is "Sustainable Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing: Utilizing Recycled Waste Steel for Large-Scale Production".
- Duration: 89 days (can be extended until the end of the project if progress is satisfactory)
- Remuneration: ₹37,000 per month (consolidated)
Key Responsibilities
- Work on sustainable metal additive manufacturing.
- Utilize recycled waste steel for large-scale WAAM components.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Essential Qualifications:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering or any allied branch, with First Division and GATE/NET.
- M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering or any allied branch, with First Division and GATE/NET.
Qualifications
- Desirable:
- Valid GATE score.
- Knowledge of Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM).
- Hands-on experience with characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, etc.
