AI Software Engineer Intern

About the Role

AI Job Agent is seeking an AI Software Engineer Intern to contribute to building and developing AI-powered applications and autonomous agent workflows. This full-time, remote internship offers hands-on experience in real-world AI product development, full-stack engineering, and autonomous AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack application features.
• Build backend APIs.
• Implement AI agent workflows.
• Integrate external services.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to transform product requirements into reliable, scalable technical solutions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundational knowledge of Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and version control (Git/GitHub).
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js for backend development and API integration.
• Familiarity with Next.js and React.js for building modern, responsive web applications.
• Working knowledge of Python for AI development, scripting, and automation.
• Understanding of Agentic AI concepts, including autonomous agents, tool calling, multi-agent systems, and AI-powered workflows.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph for developing agent-based applications and workflow orchestration.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, database integration, authentication, and backend development concepts.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate effectively, and collaborate with a distributed engineering team.
• Strong interest in building AI-powered products, automation systems, and scalable software solutions.

Good To Have

• Hands-on experience building AI agents using LangChain or LangGraph.
• Personal projects involving Agentic AI, AI automation, or full-stack web applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms, deployment, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Supabase.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Gemini, or other AI model providers.
