Study Abroad Counselor

About the Role

Guide Study Abroad is seeking a motivated and student-friendly Study Abroad Counselor for a full-time, on-site position in Kochi. The role involves guiding students in selecting suitable countries, universities, and courses based on their academic background, financial budget, and career goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct counseling sessions and guide students regarding overseas education opportunities.
• Provide information about universities, courses, admission requirements, and visa processes.
• Assist students with application forms and required documentation.
• Follow up with students regarding applications, admission offers, and visa submissions.
• Coordinate with universities and international education partners.
• Maintain student records and update application progress.
• Participate in student outreach activities, seminars, and educational events.
• Provide accurate and ethical guidance throughout the admission process.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in study abroad counseling, education consultancy, or a related field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Basic knowledge of student visa procedures and documentation.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office, email, and online application portals.
• Ability to handle multiple student inquiries and follow-ups.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills

• Student counseling and relationship management.
• Knowledge of UK, Australia, Germany, Ireland, Georgia, New Zealand, and Canada education systems.
• Application processing and documentation.
• Student follow-up and lead management.
• Communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
