Research Intern

About the Role

Verdantika is an early-stage sustainability advisory firm. This is a contractual role with a duration of up to six months (negotiable). The Research Intern will conduct advanced research and applied analysis at the intersection of sustainability policy, trade, and industrial decarbonization, with a specific emphasis on process engineering aspects of green shipping and low-carbon fuels.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and interpret data.
• Develop insights for decarbonization or resource optimization frameworks.
• Prepare reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with the Founder on case studies.
• Assist in creating innovative solutions to address sustainability challenges for industry.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in research methodologies, data collection, and analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-driven and ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and work collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to work in Gurgaon / Delhi NCR and commitment to full-time engagement.

Qualifications

• Relevant B.Tech / M.Tech degree in core engineering streams such as chemical, mechanical, electrical, or environmental engineering.
• Super interested in sustainability, economics, or related fields.
• Familiarity with sustainability concepts, sustainability standards and frameworks, trade regulations, and environmental policies.
• Interest in process engineering, energy systems, maritime decarbonization, and applied sustainability research.
