About the Role
The Omni Sport Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. The primary responsibility is to inspire and support customers in discovering and enjoying sport, creating a positive and inclusive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and guide customers in-store.
- Provide product information and assist customers in choosing equipment suited to their level and goals.
- Maintain product displays and ensure stock availability across sports categories.
- Support merchandising and in-store events that promote sport participation.
- Use digital tools to assist customers with product discovery, availability checks, and online orders, creating a seamless omni-channel experience.
- Learn about Decathlon’s product range and stay updated on sport trends.
- Collaborate with teammates to meet store performance and customer satisfaction objectives.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong customer service and communication skills: ability to actively listen, explain product features clearly, and build trust.
- Genuine interest in sport and physical activity: ability to understand different sports needs and share practical tips and product recommendations.
- Basic sales and retail skills: assisting with product selection, handling transactions, and contributing to store targets.
- Comfort with using digital tools and omni-channel platforms: supporting customers with product searches, inventory checks, and online ordering.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced retail environment, including weekends and peak hours.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
- Good organizational skills: managing stock, maintaining product displays, and following store processes and safety guidelines.
- Basic educational qualifications.
- Proficiency in English and local languages.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, customer-facing roles, or sports coaching is an advantage but not mandatory.
- A willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
