About the Role
We are seeking a Junior QA Engineer to join our Quality Engineering (QE) team and support the testing and automation of Point of Sale (POS) applications. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong foundation in programming, an interest in software quality, and a willingness to learn POS systems and test automation practices. You will work alongside experienced QA engineers and developers to ensure high-quality software releases through manual and automated testing.
Your Role
- Understand business and functional requirements.
- Create test cases and test scenarios.
- Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts.
- Perform testing across QA, STG, and other environments.
- Report, track, and support defect resolution.
- Assist in CI/CD pipeline integration for automation scripts.
- Maintain test documentation and execution reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Experience with POS application testing (manual or automation).
- Exposure to API, mobile, or automation testing.
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, and QMetry.
- Knowledge of debugging tools such as Charles Proxy or Fiddler.
Qualifications
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn POS testing and automation.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
