About the Role
This role involves two primary functions: Rigger and Fitter Technician at Indian Power Press Engineers.
Key Responsibilities (Rigger)
- Perform lifting, shifting, loading, unloading, and positioning of heavy machinery and equipment.
- Select and inspect slings, shackles, wire ropes, chains, and other rigging tools before use.
- Assist in crane operations and coordinate with crane operators and signalers.
- Ensure proper balancing, securing, and alignment of loads during lifting operations.
- Follow approved lifting procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
- Identify damaged rigging equipment and report it immediately.
Key Responsibilities (Fitter Technician)
- Assemble, dismantle, install, and fit machinery, machine parts, and mechanical components.
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings, measurements, and fitting instructions.
- Perform alignment, levelling, bolting, fastening, and adjustment of machine components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fitting equipment correctly.
- Assist in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of mechanical parts.
- Support machine installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency with rigging tools (slings, shackles, wire ropes, chains).
- Ability to operate and coordinate with crane operations.
- Familiarity with workplace safety guidelines.
- Understanding of engineering drawings.
- Skill in using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fitting equipment.
