About the Role
9T is a 36-bed neurosurgical medical-surgical unit specializing in neurosurgical spine and step-down care from NSICU, Neuro Progressive, and stroke departments. This is a fast-paced, high-acuity unit, particularly for post-operative spine patients, featuring lower nurse-to-patient ratios for optimal care. The unit is Joint Commission Certified in Spine Surgery.
Where You Will Work
Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. CMC is the region’s only Level 1 Trauma center, is Magnet-designated, and an approved transplant center. It also serves as one of North Carolina’s 5 Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Schedule Details:
- 3, 12-hour night shifts per week.
- Holiday/Weekend rotation.
Additional Information:
- A sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants.
- Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30.
- This role requires applicants to be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Atrium Health is unable to provide employment visa sponsorship for this role.
