About the Role

Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL) is offering a one-year ITI apprenticeship program at Amarkantak Thermal Power Plant. This opportunity is for individuals seeking practical experience in a thermal power station.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake one year of apprenticeship training.
• Gain practical experience in a thermal power plant environment.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• ITI Pass: From a government or private recognized industrial training institute.
• Certification: Under SCVT or NCVT.
• Eligible Trades: Fitter, Turner, Welder, Motor Mechanic, Electrician, or COPA.
• Domicile: Must be a native of Madhya Pradesh.
• Previous Apprenticeship: Not registered previously for apprenticeship in any establishment.
• Work History: Not worked for one year or more in any organization.
• Trade Selection: Only one trade can be selected.
• Portal Registration: Mandatory registration on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
• Medical Fitness: Fitness certificate from a government health centre or district hospital.
• Disability Certificate: For candidates with 40% or more disability.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Candidates must arrange for their own helmet, gloves, safety shoes, and goggles.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: ITI pass with certification under SCVT or NCVT in one of the specified trades.
• Age Norms (as of November 20, 2026):
• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• Maximum Age for General: 25 years.
• Maximum Age for SC, ST, OBC Non-Creamy Layer: 30 years.
• Maximum Age for Disabled Candidates (General Category): 35 years.
• Upper Age Concessions:
• SC Candidates: 5 years.
• ST Candidates: 5 years.
• OBC Non-Creamy Layer: 5 years.
• Disabled Candidates: 10 years.

• Fitter: 8 Posts
• Turner: 3 Posts
• Welder: 3 Posts
• Motor Mechanic: 3 Posts
• Electrician: 10 Posts
• COPA: 2 Posts
• Total Posts: 29

Stipend & Benefits

• Monthly Stipend: Rs. 9,600/- per month.
• Accident Insurance: Not less than Rs. 1,00,000/- as per the Employee Compensation Act of 1923.
• National Certification: Upon passing the required exam, a National Apprenticeship Certificate will be awarded.
• Practical Experience: Gain work experience in a thermal power plant.

Selection Process

• Verification of applications against advertisement conditions.
• Merit list compiled based on candidates’ CGPA semester-wise in ITI course.
• Preference for older candidates in case of a tie.
• Preference for domicile candidates of Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, and Jabalpur districts.

Training Conditions

• Duration: One year.
• Leaves: 13 casual, 3 optional, 10 medical leaves, plus weekly off.
• Accommodation: Candidates arrange their own; company housing may be provided if available on a sharing cost basis. Trainees are not allowed to stay with their family in company housing.
• Note: Apprentice training does not lead to any permanent job offer.
