About Us
Medi-Weightloss Drexel Hill is a physician-led medical weight management clinic helping patients improve their health through evidence-based treatment, nutrition education, and sustainable lifestyle changes.
Job Summary
We seek a friendly, outgoing undergraduate interested in healthcare, marketing, and small business growth. This is a hands-on internship: learn the clinic and its patients, work with our staff, then develop, execute, and evaluate real local outreach projects. The focus is in-person relationship building, supported by practical digital content—not a stand-alone social media campaign.
Key Responsibilities & Measurable Outcomes
- Community events: Build a 6–12 month event pipeline identifying at least one event per month. Coordinate and participate in suitable events occurring during the internship.
- Business partnerships: Identify and contact 50 prospective local businesses, employers, gyms, healthcare offices, and organizations; work toward 5–10 partnerships or collaborative events. Follow up and maintain an outreach tracker.
- Digital marketing: Produce 2–4 monthly posts or updates to promote and recap actual community events and partnerships, using approved materials and messaging.
- Patient experience & reputation: Speak with 8–12 willing patients under supervision about their weight-loss journeys, how they found us, and barriers created by stigma. Help develop a respectful, voluntary process for requesting honest Google reviews.
- Performance tracking: Report contacts, meetings, events, collaborations, and engagement; present a short summary of results and recommendations at semester end.
On-Site & Local Responsibilities
- Clinic immersion: Shadow clinic operations; engage with providers, nutrition staff, and the front desk to understand the patient journey.
- Community execution: Visit potential partners, help organize and staff events, and represent the clinic professionally in conversations with prospective patients and businesses.
- Project ownership: Take initiatives from research and planning through hands-on execution and follow-up, with guidance from clinic leadership.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate studying business, marketing, entrepreneurship, communications, or a related field.
- Social, approachable, proactive, well organized, and comfortable starting conversations with patients and prospective business partners.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative.
- Reliable personal transportation for clinic visits and local events.
- No prior healthcare marketing experience required.
