About the Role
The 10-week Summer Associate Program at Sheppard provides students with a realistic view of life as an associate at the firm. The program includes a reception and a two-day Summer Associate Academy in Los Angeles, featuring an introduction to the firm, workshops, and networking opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience working closely with partners and associates on meaningful client matters.
- Attend depositions and court appearances.
- Participate in conference calls and negotiations.
- Draft documents and sit in on meetings.
- Work on pro bono projects.
- Take on assignments across practice areas and matter types.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Interest in Corporate & Securities, Labor & Employment, and Trusts & Estates Litigation.
- Ability to indicate practice area(s) of interest or desired matter types in cover letter.
- Completion of the Suited assessment.
Qualifications
- Minimum GPA of 3.3; minimum of 3.4 preferred.
- Past experience demonstrating leadership skills, proof of initiative, and the ability to handle responsibility.
- Law school transcript may be submitted at a later point.
Salary: $225,000 per year.
