About the Role
Crown Distributors is seeking a 2nd Shift Order Selector for our Topeka facility. This position operates Sunday through Thursday, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering consistent Friday and Saturday days off.
Key Responsibilities
- Selecting Customer Orders: Use a voice-directed system with a forearm-mounted iPhone for navigation and a hand-mounted scanner for UPC verification.
- Pallet Optimization: Efficiently build secure, well-balanced pallets.
- Staging & Preparation: Secure completed pallets using shrink-wrap and stage them in designated outbound shipping lanes.
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate electric pallet jacks.
- Maintain a Safe Work Area: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Team Dependability: Being reliable is a key aspect of this role.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to report to work reliably and maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to regularly lift and move products weighing up to 30 pounds and safely handle heavier items, including kegs weighing up to 160 pounds, through the use of mechanical equipment, team lifting, and established safe-work procedures.
- Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully completing applicable background screenings, a post-offer physical examination, and drug screening.
Qualifications
- No prior warehouse experience is required; comprehensive training is provided.
