About the Role
IBM Systems division builds Servers, Storage, and Systems Software for enterprise customers and data centers. The India Systems Development Lab (ISDL) is part of the IBM Systems division, established in 1996 and headquartered in Bengaluru, with presence in Pune and Hyderabad. ISDL teams work across the IBM Systems stack including Processor development, Firmware, Operating Systems, Systems Software, Storage Software, Cloud Software, Performance Engineering, and System Test.
The Enterprise Systems Development Lab, part of ISDL, has opportunities in the Design & Development of Processors for IBM Mainframe & Power systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development of Processors for IBM Mainframe & Power systems.
- Processor core development, Logic Design, Analog circuits, Physical Design, Custom layout, Memory & Library characterization.
- Design and development of algorithms to verify/validate and debug processor Architecture & Performance.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Digital Logic design
- Computer Architecture
- RISC V or other processor pipeline knowledge
- VLSI design flow and process knowledge
- Good understanding of custom circuits, Analog, Digital logic design, memory technologies
- Good programming and scripting skills (Python/Perl)
Qualifications
- Degree in VLSI design or electronics
- Computer Science graduates interested in the design and development of algorithms to verify/validate and debug processor Architecture & Performance.
