About the Role

UST is seeking a skilled Software Engineer in Test with expertise in test automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
• Implement and execute automated tests for web UI.
• Utilize BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Behave to create and manage test cases.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams for comprehensive test coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Use Docker and Kubernetes for test environment setup and management.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with developers to resolve them.
• Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes.
• Document test cases, test scripts, and test results.
• Support and promote the values of UST.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Knowledge of Playwright.
• Selenium knowledge is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Typescript or Javascript.
• Experience writing tests for a distributed system involving UI, APIs, and/or Database.
• Experience with performance scalable / unit testable endpoints.
• Experience with Performance testing.
• GIT repository proficiency.
• Experience with DATA flavoured products / environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Curiosity to learn.
• Best Practices knowledge is an advantage.
• Proven experience in test automation using Java or Python.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Behave.
• Experience in writing automated tests for web UIs.
• Knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of data structures.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• API Testing.
• Agile methodologies.
• Database Testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
