About the Role
Applied Materials is the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions. This role contributes to transforming global logistics and warehouse operations through AI/ML, Simulation, and Network Optimization initiatives. The work involves high-impact business problems, leveraging data and technology to drive operational efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support AI/ML and data-driven solutions for logistics and warehouse operations.
- Analyze large datasets using data mining, analytics, and visualization tools to identify insights and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and evaluate network optimization models to improve supply chain efficiency and service performance.
- Build and run simulation models to assess operational scenarios and support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems and implement scalable solutions.
- Contribute to automation initiatives that enhance operational productivity and visibility.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- AI/ML fundamentals and model development.
- Gen AI / RAG / LLM tools.
- Data mining, data analytics, and statistical analysis.
- Python, SQL, Process Mining and Simulation tools and related analytics tools.
- Operations Research, Optimization, and Simulation techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science / Business Analytics / CS / Statistics / Data Analytics / AIML.
- GPA of 3.25 or above preferred.
- Experience in one or more of these areas would be beneficial:
- Gen AI tools
- Logistics / Supply Chain Understanding
- Python
- Statistics
