About the Role

The Grocery Clerk is responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. This role involves a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, and merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting and building rapport with vendors.
• Displaying a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Responding to customer questions effectively.
• Stocking products and maintaining product displays according to merchandising standards.
• Performing basic department cleaning upkeep.
• Following safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
• Using a baler (if 18 years or older with proper training).
• Performing other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Highly organized with a keen sense of details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using equipment.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.

Work Environment: Typical retail store with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud. Temperature varies from regular to cooler areas. Minimal sitting is required.

Pay Scale: $17.05 - $20.00 per hour.
