About the Role
The Pharmacy Technician - Retail Pharmacy role at MaineHealth functions in a training capacity, working alongside a trainer/mentor while completing job responsibilities in their respective pharmacy practice area. This role will assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications. The Pharmacy Technician will only perform competencies that they have completed in their knowledge-based courses and on-the-job training and are qualified to perform alongside a technician trainer/mentor or pharmacist.
Varied shifts/schedule. The schedule could range from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the care team in medication-related tasks.
- Support the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficient computer skills
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience: None required.
