This Opportunity

This is a Growth role for someone early in their career seeking commercial impact and the opportunity to visibly accelerate company growth. Reporting to the Director of Growth, you will build pipeline using an AI-native GTM playbook. You will gain exposure to enterprise software sales, with real commercial work from day one. The role involves personalizing messaging, following up with warm prospects, and testing what resonates with different audiences, rather than traditional outbound tasks like phone calls or manual list building. You will work from prepared priority lists with clear direction and be measured on meetings booked and opportunities created. This role requires working closely with sellers. While a background in data or SaaS is not required, strong commercial acumen, drive, and willingness to learn a technical product sold to technical buyers are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Sequences: Launch and manage email campaigns, move every reply toward a meeting, and be accountable for sequence performance.
  • Human Layer on Automated Outreach: Evaluate target companies and buying committees, and write personalized notes to engage prospects.
  • Warm Follow-up: Manage and convert inbound interest from demo requests, content engagement, webinars, and events into meetings or clear no's.
  • Sales Handoffs: Ensure Account Executives receive necessary context for every meeting booked.
  • Persona Engagement: Develop sufficient product and technical knowledge to have credible conversations with data engineers, analytics leads, and Chief Data Officers, understanding modern data stacks.
  • Experimentation: Run experiments on messaging, targeting, and channels, documenting learnings for the team.
  • Collaboration with Account Executives: Work closely with AEs to understand deal progression and provide context for meetings set. Deal administration is automated.
  • Senior Buyer Engagement: Participate in events (roundtables, dinners, data leadership series) to meet senior buyers and own follow-up to book meetings.

Career Pathways

Performing well in this role can lead to opportunities in:

  • Sales: Progress to Account Executive with your own territory and sales target.
  • GTM Engineering: Contribute to building and refining the outbound sales machine, including sequences, signals, agents, and experiments.
  • Partnerships: Engage in selling alongside partners like AWS, Google Cloud, Vercel, Databricks, and Snowflake, exploring new markets and deal shaping.

Qualifications

  • Early in career with a desire to move quickly and a track record of high performance.
  • Motivated by commercial outcomes.
  • Enjoy working with people, collaborating with sellers, and prefer conversations over extensive email exchanges.
  • Embrace new technology and AI-assisted outbound tooling.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write specific outreach and clear follow-up that avoids generic messaging.
  • Self-starter with the ability to follow direction, execute on priority lists, and bring back learnings.
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, track activity, and close loops independently.
  • Curious about data and technology, willing to put in the work to understand the product and its ecosystem.
  • Ability to build trust quickly and hold credible conversations with diverse personas (e.g., data engineers, CFOs).
  • Competitive drive, viewing rejection as information, and a commitment to learning and adaptation.
