Technical Engineer, Process Intelligence

About the Role

Design, configure, test, and continuously improve enterprise process intelligence solutions and business process monitoring capabilities using Celonis EMS and related enterprise technologies. Support business transformation initiatives through IT changes, Agile DevOps delivery, and process optimization activities in line with global Information Technology (IT), enterprise architecture, and security standards to enable operational excellence, process transparency, and measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business process requirements into detailed functional designs, Celonis stories, KPIs, dashboards, and EMS configurations in accordance with enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Coordinate the preparation, review, execution, and testing of process mining solutions within projects, operational changes, and Agile DevOps teams.
• Collaborate with business process owners, implementation partners, and external consultants during the execution of enhancements and deployments.
• Contribute to incident resolution, root cause analysis, process optimization initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
• Lead enterprise-wide process intelligence initiatives and define scalable process mining solutions across business domains.
• Drive strategic transformation programs, establish governance standards, mentor team members, and partner with Architects and senior stakeholders to design advanced analytics and AI-enabled process intelligence capabilities.
• Oversee large-scale implementations and complex operational changes.
• Ensure quality execution, monitor delivery progress, govern testing and deployment activities, and lead continuous improvement and incident management.

Key Activities

• Story Specification: Translate business process requirements into clear and detailed Celonis solution designs. Own and develop high-quality stories and configuration specifications for Engineers, Developers, and implementation partners.
• Development & Delivery: Guide, coordinate, and oversee the preparation, implementation, and deployment of process intelligence solutions and related configurations. Ensure established standards are followed by internal and external partners. Review, approve, and control the implementation of new enhancements, dashboards, KPIs, analytics models, and process mining capabilities.
• Testing: Own and coordinate testing activities for Celonis stories, dashboards, process models, and integrations. Develop and maintain test scenarios, review test outcomes, support user acceptance testing, and contribute to release planning.
• Incident Management: Perform functional and technical analysis of incidents, data quality issues, and process intelligence disruptions. Conduct root cause analysis and oversee deployment of fixes.
• Process Management and Improvement: Monitor and analyze the performance, adoption, and security of Celonis solutions. Contribute to process optimization initiatives through dashboard development, operational insight visualization, automation, and advanced analytics. Maintain visibility of technical debt and collaborate with Domain Architects to improve process intelligence capabilities.
• Project Support: Take ownership of process intelligence deliverables including requirements gathering, configurations, dashboards, analytics, testing, and deployment coordination.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Celonis EMS
• Process mining fundamentals
• SQL skills and understanding of relational data, data models, and business data.
• Ability to consume/build APIs and integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications.
• Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering and LLM API integration.
• Knowledge of AI agents, tool/function calling, multi-step workflows and agent orchestration.

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor or Master degree.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in process mining, analytics, business applications, or IT delivery.
• Understands core Celonis EMS concepts, process mining fundamentals, and assigned enterprise applications within a defined business process area.
• Performs business and process analysis within a defined process mining scope and contributes to solution design activities.
• Identifies operational bottlenecks, process deviations, and compliance issues within assigned workflows.
• Provides internal support and advice regarding Celonis functionality, integrations, and operational issues.
