Registered Nurse New Grad

About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse New Grad. This role provides continuity and quality nursing care, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care.
• Continually evaluate the patient's condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• May assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques.
• Provide comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family needs in preparation for discharge.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS.
• PALS preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skill level necessary to assess patient’s psychosocial, educational and physical needs, as well as the ability to address these needs in an age-appropriate manner in the pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Good organization habits.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly.
• Strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and implementation.
• Excellent teaching skills.
• Experience with Electronic Healthcare Records.
