About Vendit

Vendit is building an automatic masala-chai machine that brews, pours, serves, and cleans automatically.

The company has a working prototype and is focusing on developing it into a finished, ready-to-sell product.

Vendit is a small, hands-on team located in Borivali West, Mumbai.

Location: Borivali West, Mumbai (onsite)

Duration: 3–6 months, starting December 2026

Stipend: 5000-8000 per month

Commitment: At least 5 days a week onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Turn the working prototype into a finished machine by designing and fabricating sheet-metal and machined parts.
- Design the machine's metal frame, brackets, and mechanisms in SolidWorks, preparing them for laser cutting and bending.
- Prepare drawings and collaborate directly with local fabrication vendors to obtain parts.
- Address mechanical issues such as alignment, jamming, vibration, and proximity to heat and water.
- Assemble, test, and improve mechanisms on the actual machine.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, sheet metal, drawings)
- Hands-on building experience (e.g., SAE, BAJA, Formula Student, robotics club, personal projects)
- Basic understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or completed a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering (not a hard restriction).
- Demonstrated building and fixing experience.
Good to Have
- Experience with sheet-metal design, 3D printing, or basic machining.
- Familiarity with food-safe materials (SS304, food-grade plastics).
