About the Role

Evemen is looking for creative, detail-oriented Surface & Textile Design Interns to join our design team in Jaipur and create original prints and patterns for our apparel, from concept to production-ready file. This is a full-time, in-office internship.

Key Responsibilities

• Create original prints, patterns and surface designs for products.
• Develop seamless repeats and different colourways.
• Design on iPad using Procreate and turn sketches into finished artwork.
• Build clean, scalable artwork in Adobe Illustrator.
• Prepare print-ready files for fabric printing with the correct setup, colours and sizing.
• Research fabrics, print techniques and textile trends.
• Create mood boards and design concepts for new collections.
• Work closely with the team to ensure prints match what gets produced.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and pattern creation.
• Hands-on experience with Procreate.
• Understanding of repeats, colourways and print placement.
• Knowledge of fabrics and textile printing methods (digital, screen, block).
• Your own iPad for designing.
• A portfolio showing your prints, patterns or textile work.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail.
• Good time management.
• Willingness to learn.
• Open to students and fresh graduates.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, colour management, fashion or apparel design.
• Knowledge of traditional Indian prints such as block printing.
