About the Role
This is a 6-month, in-person opportunity in San Francisco.
Engramme is a Frontier AI lab spun out of Harvard focusing on AI x Human Memory. Persistent memory is a fundamental open problem at the heart of AI. Our vision is to build models of human memory, and to endow humans with perfect and infinite memory.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the entire user experience from front-end interfaces to back-end APIs.
- Build intuitive tools that make superhuman memory accessible to everyone.
- Develop responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.
- Design intuitive user interfaces for complex AI-powered memory features.
- Implement real-time features and optimize application performance.
- Work closely with designers to create pixel-perfect implementations.
- Integrate with AI/ML services and handle complex data visualization.
- Establish frontend architecture patterns and component libraries.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Node.js and Express or similar backend frameworks.
- Strong understanding of database design and SQL.
- Knowledge of responsive design and CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, styled-components).
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of web performance optimization and accessibility.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI/ML model integration and data visualization.
- Knowledge of GraphQL and modern API patterns.
- Experience with real-time technologies (WebSockets, WebRTC).
- Background in SaaS product development.
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
- Knowledge of mobile development (React Native).
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand).
