About the Role

The Graduate Student role at Conscious Chemist is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. This role supports research and development activities for new and existing skincare formulations, including literature reviews, ingredient analysis, and lab-based experimentation under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Support research and development activities for new and existing skincare formulations.
• Conduct literature reviews.
• Perform ingredient analysis.
• Engage in lab-based experimentation under supervision.
• Prepare and document samples.
• Assist with stability and efficacy testing.
• Record and organize data.
• Contribute to product performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with scientists, product developers, and brand teams.
• Translate scientific insights into consumer-friendly concepts.
• Support claims documentation.
• Maintain lab safety and cleanliness.
• Adhere to regulatory and quality standards.
• Participate in internal discussions on clean beauty, sustainability, and functional product design.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in chemistry, cosmetic science, biotechnology, dermatology, or a related scientific field.
• Hands-on laboratory skills, including basic wet lab techniques, safe handling of chemicals, and accurate data recording.
• Research and analytical skills, such as conducting literature reviews, interpreting scientific studies, and synthesizing findings.
• Interest in skincare, clean beauty, and biocompatible formulations, with an understanding of ingredients, skin physiology, and product performance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting experiments, preparing reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in New Delhi.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to contribute positively in a team-oriented environment.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a graduate program (Master’s or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Prior internship or project experience in cosmetic or personal care R&D is an advantage.
