About the Role
Cemzo is a technology-driven Construction Commerce Platform. The Node.js Intern (Unpaid) will support the development and maintenance of backend services that power Cemzo’s construction commerce platform. This internship role is remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and test Node.js code.
- Integrate APIs.
- Work with databases.
- Debug issues.
- Contribute to code reviews.
- Assist in building scalable features.
- Improve performance.
- Document technical implementations.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Foundational knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js.
- Interest in backend development.
- Basic experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON-based data exchange.
- Understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and familiarity with query concepts.
- Exposure to version control tools such as Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
- Ability to read and write clean, structured code and follow coding standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to debug and troubleshoot issues.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or course in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and contribute to a fast-paced startup environment.
- Interest in the construction, commerce, or B2B SaaS domain is a plus.
