About the Role
This is a general laborer position supporting the production and packaging of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Packing product
- Stacking and unstacking product to meet customer orders
- Sorting finished goods
- Documenting damaged goods
- Verifying packaging code and UPC to match planned product
- General cleaning and sanitation of the facility and surrounding grounds
- Performing other tasks as assigned by management
- Participating as a member of the team, fostering cohesiveness and problem-solving
- Maintaining familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies) and understanding the role's impact on these systems.
- Communicating concerns and improvement ideas.
Physical Activities
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 lbs
- Standing on feet for the entire shift
- Ability to work in extreme hot/cold, wet/dry environments
Requirements & Tech Stack
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- Steel toed shoes
- Ear Plugs
- Hair Net
- Safety Vest and hard hat where required
Qualifications
Preferred Industry Experience:
- Background in manufacturing
