About the Role
The Westin Tempe is looking for a Full-Time Laundry Attendant to join their Housekeeping Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper washing and drying of laundry to maintain high standards of quality.
- Service guests around the hotel.
- Handle tasks in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner to achieve a high level of guest satisfaction.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Good communication skills with guests.
- Willingness to "pitch-in" and help co-workers; be a team player.
- Working knowledge of laundry chemicals and different formulas, and their effects on various types of linen.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time.
- Requires lifting bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
- AM/PM availability, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Must be willing to adhere to hotel security policies and procedures.
- Must be adaptable to change and willing to learn new skills.
- Ability to solve routine problems on the job.
- Ability to ask for help when unsure of how to perform a task.
