Referment is working with a global investment and technology firm seeking a Corporate Development Associate in New York City. The firm is a diversified investment enterprise, and this Corporate Development team sits at the centre of its growth agenda. The team proposes, develops and executes high-priority initiatives that expand the business — new investment strategies, new businesses, products and other commercial activities. This role offers unusually early exposure to senior decision-makers and the chance to shape the firm's direction rather than execute a pre-set mandate.

- Working with teams across the organisation to generate and develop new products.
- Contributing to corporate strategy and regularly presenting recommendations to senior management.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor's or graduate degree.
- An impressive record of academic or professional achievement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication is essential.
Qualifications
- Up to three years of work experience.
- Prior finance knowledge or experience is not required.
- Past associates have come from fields including law, engineering, basic science research, philosophy, computer science and government.
- Experience suitable for a high-performing early-career professional from consulting, law, engineering, research or government who wants to move into a commercial strategy role with genuine ownership of new business initiatives at a leading investment firm.
Compensation
- Expected annual base salary: $135,000 to $160,000.
- Compensation and benefits package includes:
- Variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire.
- Benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage.
- 401(k) contribution matching.
- Wellness reimbursement.
- Family building benefits.
- Charitable gift match program.
