Role Overview

As a Healthcare Data Analyst Intern, you will undertake structured reporting assignments under the guidance of experienced team members. You will gain insights into:

• Healthcare data organization
• Tracking volumes, costs, and turnaround times
• The role of accurate reporting in supporting better decisions in a critical sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and organize healthcare-style datasets (e.g., patient visit records, billing data, lab data, pharmacy data).
• Write SQL queries to extract specific data for reports.
• Build dashboards and reports in Excel, Power BI, or Looker Studio.
• Track trends in case volumes, costs, turnaround times, and operational performance.
• Check data for errors, duplicates, and missing values before reporting.
• Work with anonymised or approved data, adhering to data privacy practices.
• Write concise summaries explaining findings to non-technical teams.
• Document queries and reports for reusability.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts) - Good working knowledge required.
• SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, filters) - Basic proficiency required.
• Power BI, Tableau, or Python - Familiarity is preferred (not mandatory).

Qualifications

• Freshers, entry-level candidates, or students pursuing/completing degrees in:
• B.Pharm, D.Pharm, Pharm.D, B.Sc, or M.Sc (Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Statistics)
• BHM, MHA, B.Tech, BCA, MCA, BBA, or related fields.
• Self-taught learners who can demonstrate skills through a dashboard, project, or certificate.
• Candidates with an interest in healthcare and data.
• Candidates available for full-time internship work for the duration.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Respect for data confidentiality and professional ethics.
• A laptop and stable internet connection for remote work.
• Understanding of medical terms or healthcare processes is preferred (not mandatory).
