Social Media Intern

About the Role

Konvo Media is seeking a Social Media & Podcast Distribution Intern to help maximize the reach of podcast episodes. This role requires a deep understanding of the Indian podcast industry and active engagement on platforms like Instagram and YouTube.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily distribution of podcast content across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
• Upload Reels/Shorts daily and consistently.
• Understand Instagram distribution strategies, including hooks, retention, timing, trends, captions, and formats.
• Track the Indian podcast industry, including creators, hosts, guests, shows, trends, and viral moments.
• Research successful content strategies for top Indian podcasts and creators.
• Identify distribution opportunities for each podcast episode.
• Track Reel/Short performance to understand content success factors.
• Stay updated with trending topics, memes, formats, and viral content.
• Find relevant pages, communities, and creators for content distribution.
• Coordinate with the editing/content team to ensure timely publication.
• Monitor podcasts, creators, guests, and industry trends.
• Focus on expanding reach, aiming for objectives like getting content in front of 1M+ people.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Extremely active on Instagram & YouTube.
• Strong understanding of the Indian creator and podcast ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of Instagram Reels distribution.
• Naturally curious about viral content and its underlying reasons.
• Excellent research and internet skills.
• Highly consistent, responsive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.

Qualifications

• A deep understanding of current Indian Instagram trends, including trending podcasts, viral guests, and effective formats.
• Ability to identify potential growth opportunities for content views.
• Willingness to spend significant time on Instagram, conduct relentless research, post consistently, and focus on distribution.

Huge Plus If You

• Have experience working with a podcast, creator, or media company.
• Have managed or grown an Instagram/YouTube page.
• Understand how to scale Reel views from 100 to 10K to 100K+.
• Possess knowledge of the Indian podcast ecosystem beyond mainstream names.
• Have experience in content distribution or social media growth.
• Can identify potentially viral clips based on initial viewing.
