About the Role

Purpose of the role is to design, develop, and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. This role is based in the Pune office.

Key Responsibilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Staying informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contributing to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
• Contributing to or setting strategy, driving requirements, and making recommendations for change.
• Planning resources, budgets, and policies.
• Managing and maintaining policies/processes.
• Delivering continuous improvements and escalating breaches of policies/procedures.
• Advising key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
• Managing and mitigating risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
• Demonstrating leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work performed.
• Demonstrating comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
• Collaborating with other areas of work and business-aligned support areas to stay up-to-date with business activity and strategies.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong software engineering background with C#/.NET, SQL, and relational database expertise (Oracle preferred).
• Experience with analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, BO, etc.).
• Experience leading delivery and design of data-intensive platforms, including data publication, governance, and analytics solutions.
• Ability to operate as a senior technical and functional owner, partnering directly with business, operations, and technology stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include:
• Exposure to Python, cloud, and modern data technologies such as AWS, Athena, Starburst, or equivalent.
• Experience modernizing legacy platforms and applying DevOps, automation, and engineering best practices.
• Prior experience transforming legacy data platforms toward modern architectures.
