About the Role
- Paid Internship
- Duration: Ideally 6 months
- Location: Bangalore
- Department: IIDM (Digital for Corporate Analytics)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end design lifecycle, including wireframing, user journey mapping, and creating high-fidelity UI designs.
- Assist in designing intuitive user interfaces and user experiences tailored for AI/ML tools, computer vision workflows, and complex enterprise platforms.
- Help organize and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, contextual interviews, and usability tests with end-users and technical teams.
- Contribute to the maintenance, updates, and expansion of tokenized design systems and component libraries in Figma.
- Build interactive prototypes to effectively communicate micro-interactions, layout flows, and visual hierarchy to developers and product managers.
Skills Development
- Advanced UX/UI design and rapid prototyping using industry-standard tools (Figma, ProtoPie, Framer).
- Human-centered design methodology applied to AI-driven tools, complex data visualizations, and spatial interfaces.
- Practical exposure to user research techniques, usability testing tools (Maze, UserTesting), and feedback synthesis.
- Understanding and applying scalable design systems and web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2).
- Cross-functional collaboration in an agile environment alongside Product Managers and Software/ML Engineers.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Design & Prototyping Tools: Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Design Principles: Information Architecture, wireframing, micro-interactions, visual design
- Web Technologies: Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS/Tailwind, React components
- Design Systems & Accessibility: Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and WCAG (a plus)
- Research & Testing Tools: Maze, UserTesting (familiarity a plus)
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Portfolio or coursework demonstrating UX problem-solving and visual design projects.
