Mechanic helper

About the Role

The Mechanic Helper is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, supporting senior mechanics with day-to-day bicycle maintenance and repair tasks. This position is suited to individuals who are hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to learn mechanical skills in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with routine inspections.
• Cleaning and preparing bikes.
• Organizing tools and parts.
• Helping with tire, brake, and gear adjustments under supervision.
• Basic troubleshooting.
• Documenting work performed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe workshop environment.
• Interacting with customers to receive bikes, note issues, and provide status updates on service.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills in general Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for bicycles and related components.
• Skills in Preventive Maintenance to perform regular checks and servicing that reduce breakdowns.
• Skills in Troubleshooting to identify mechanical issues and support accurate, efficient repairs.
• Skills related to working safely around Heavy Equipment or tools commonly used in a workshop setting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with bicycle parts and systems are beneficial.
• Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and maintain attention to detail in a busy workshop environment.
• Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude when interacting with riders and team members.
• Prior experience in a workshop, garage, or similar hands-on role is an advantage.
