About the Role
Verkada is seeking software engineers to join a high-growth environment and launch products and features for global customers. As part of the Software Engineering team, you will own projects on product or platform-facing teams, working across the full software stack and collaborating cross-functionally to build the latest iterations of Verkada’s flagship software. This role requires working on-site at the HQ in San Mateo, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Build scalable distributed systems for high traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices.
- Work with high concurrency key-value storage systems like Redis and DynamoDB.
- Utilize Postgres relational databases.
- Work with logging and message passing technologies such as Kafka and SQS.
- Deploy services using Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Develop large-scale systems for remote product interaction and configuration.
- Define and improve low-latency, high-throughput, high-reliability microservice architectures.
- Design and develop features incorporating cutting-edge computer vision.
- Design clean APIs and implement them using Python and/or Go.

Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or similar technical field of study.
- Internship experience developing and launching products.
- Must be willing and able to work on-site five days per week.
Annual Pay Range
$120,000—$140,000 USD
