• New Grad Registered Nurse Residency Program at Ascension's Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX.
• Specialty: Pediatric Float Pool.
• Schedule: Night | Full-time.
• Residency Cohort: Winter 2027.
• Start Dates: January 19 and February 15.
• Designed for new graduate or early career nurses.
• ANCC-accredited Nurse Residency Program (Practice Transition Accreditation Program® with distinction).
• Focuses on building confidence and strengthening clinical skills during the transition to professional practice.
• Operates in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with hands-on experience and dedicated mentorship.
• December 2026 graduates are eligible.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with your RN preceptor to support patient care through observation, documentation, and clear communication.
• Assist with physician and nursing care plans to help deliver safe, coordinated care.
• Monitor, communicate, and document changes in patient condition.
• Strengthen clinical thinking and judgment through structured transition-to-practice experiences that support safe, competent, person-centered care.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Certified Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Education:
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Qualifications

• Less than one year of RN experience is preferred.
