About the Role
The Infrastructure and Platform team at TikTok USDS JV focuses on building and operating large-scale, massively distributed, and fault-tolerant systems. Interns will manage complex challenges of scale using expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation procedures to maximize system efficiency and minimize human intervention.
- Work closely with software engineering teams to design, deploy, and operate elements to ensure systems are functionally robust.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Able to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2027.
- Proficient knowledge of high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, and Shell script).
- Experience in network architecture, database modeling, cloud systems, and large-scale distributed systems.
- Effective team communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with containers and container orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent.
