Data Analyst

About the Role

To collect, analyze, interpret, and report security-related data to enhance the operational efficiency, risk mitigation capabilities, and decision-making processes within the organization. The role involves performing vulnerability assessments, developing insights from data trends, and contributing to the continuous improvement of security systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Management:
• Collect data from primary and secondary sources.
• Maintain and manage security-related databases to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Implement data collection systems and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
• Ensure proper documentation of data collection and analysis processes for easy replication by stakeholders.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Develop and execute data analysis plans, identifying patterns, correlations, and trends from security-related data.
• Create reports and dashboards using data visualization tools like Tableau or Qlik to communicate actionable insights.
• Interpret data findings in the context of organizational security, recommending data-driven improvements to senior management.
• Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within complex data sets.
• Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical methods to analyze and interpret data.
• Design and create data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings and support decision-making processes.
• Conduct thorough data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
• Communicate complex technical findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
• Threat and Vulnerability Assessments:
• Conduct regular vulnerability testing and threat analysis, ensuring early detection and resolution of potential risks.
• Analyze security breaches to identify root causes and recommend necessary countermeasures.
• Contribute to updating and refining the organization’s incident response and disaster recovery plans based on analysis findings.
• System Upgradation:
• Identify areas of improvement in security systems through data analysis and coordinate system upgrades.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement enhanced security software, minimizing risks and improving operational efficiency.
• Process Excellence:
• Evaluate and refine data collection, storage, and usage processes, improving overall process maturity.
• Standardize data-driven decision-making frameworks to support governance and operational excellence.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of data management processes and systems.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and management.
• Adhere to data privacy and security regulations and best practices.
• Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in data analysis.

Key Stakeholders

• Internal: Site Security Lead, IT Management Specialist, Corporate Security Team, Risk Management and Audit Teams.
• External: Vendors and service providers for security software and tools, External departments for integration and support during upgrades, External auditors (for compliance and system validation).

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in database languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Knowledge of data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• Worked on interpreting data trends, perform root cause analyses, and create actionable reports.
• Experience Range: 1 year in data management, analytics, or operations, preferably in security or technology-related roles, or 0.6-1 year internship with Adani group in the related field.
