About the Internship
MediNex Workforce seeks to leverage machine learning to enhance candidate-to-client role matching, predict candidate offer acceptance, and identify roles with longer filling times. This internship offers the opportunity to work on these problems, developing models from data to deployment and learning to validate results with data-driven evidence.
What You Will Do
- Collect, clean, and preprocess recruitment data for model training.
- Engineer features from raw data such as skills, experience, and location.
- Train classification, regression, and clustering models using Scikit-learn.
- Compare different algorithms and document outcomes.
- Tune model parameters and assess for overfitting and bias.
- Measure performance using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score.
- Package simple model demonstrations for team evaluation.
- Document notebooks and experiments for reproducibility.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Good working knowledge of Python, including Pandas and NumPy.
- Understanding of core machine learning concepts and common algorithms.
- Comfort with basic maths and statistics.
- Habit of running experiments and iterative improvement.
- Clear written English for documentation.
- A laptop and stable internet connection for full-time remote work.
- Hands-on experience with Scikit-learn (Nice to have).
- Exposure to TensorFlow or PyTorch (Nice to have).
- A Kaggle notebook, GitHub project, or certificate (Nice to have).
Qualifications
- Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc (CS, IT, Maths, Statistics), MCA, M.Sc, or related streams.
- Self-taught learners who can demonstrate a project or certificate.
- Freshers are welcome; prior experience is not required.
- Must be available full-time for the internship duration.
Internship Details
- Employment Type: Full-time internship
- Duration: 1 to 3 months
- Stipend: Up to INR 15,000 per month
- Location: India
- Workplace Type: Remote
- Working Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Saturday or as assigned, with daily check-ins and a weekly review.
