HR Shared Service Intern (Summer 2027)

About the Role

The HR Shared Service Intern will provide support in carrying out human resources functions, including recruitment, workforce management, and weekly reporting. This role is an internship opportunity for Summer 2027, based at Zurn Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.

Key Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Shared Services team, complete assignments in areas such as: Onboarding, Off-boarding, Benefits, HR system data entry, and Reporting.
• Assist with the onboarding of new hires.
• Professionally and accurately respond to written and oral inquiries from employees, managers, and HR partners regarding HR questions, HR policies, or Benefits via telephone, chat, or e-mail.
• Interface with Human Resource Partners, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, IT, and management to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems.
• Quickly and accurately resolve cases in a professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner.
• Escalate complex cases to the HR Shared Services Manager.
• Assist with various HRSS projects.
• Other related projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in Workday is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited University, working towards a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills to provide efficient and timely follow up to deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
