About Buildify
Buildify is a custom software company in Chennai that builds ERP, POS, LMS, e-commerce platforms and websites for clients, along with fully custom software and their own software startup products.
About the Role
Design and build interfaces for Buildify's internal tools, core products, and live client projects. Work directly with the founder and a team lead, taking screens from Figma design through to working Next.js/React code. This is a hands-on role that combines design and development, where work reaches users instead of stopping at mockups.
Key Responsibilities
- Design UI and UX for web applications, dashboards, and websites in Figma.
- Build responsive, production-ready interfaces using React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
- Create and maintain a reusable component library and design system for Buildify products.
- Design user flows and screens for ERP, POS, LMS, e-commerce, and website projects.
- Design interfaces for AI-powered features and tools.
- Work with developers to implement designs accurately.
- Improve usability and consistency across live client projects.
- Take part in sprint planning, design reviews, and product launches.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in Figma: layouts, components, auto-layout, and prototyping.
- Strong HTML, CSS, and responsive design skills.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and React.
- Good understanding of UX fundamentals: user flows, usability, and visual hierarchy.
- A good eye for spacing, typography, color, and detail.
- A portfolio or live examples of your work.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Design, or a related field.
- Able to work on-site in Chennai and commit 15-20 hours per week.
Good to have
- Experience with Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
- Experience designing dashboards, admin panels, or e-commerce interfaces.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design and development tools.
- Basic motion or animation skills.

Internship Details
