About the Role
This is a remote internship role for a Legal Writing Intern. The intern will assist with legal research, drafting and writing opinions, and summarizing case law and statutes. The position is designed to provide quality legal writing contributing to the chambers’ website.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with legal research.
- Assist with drafting and writing opinions.
- Assist with summarizing case law and statutes.
- Organize research materials.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with primary and secondary legal sources.
- Solid legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, structured, and well-reasoned documents.
- Attention to detail in proofreading, citation formatting, and document editing.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Familiarity with legal databases and standard office productivity tools (e.g., word processing and document management software).
- Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and a high standard of work quality.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a law program or recent graduation in law.
- Interest in litigation and legal drafting.
- This is a remote unpaid internship.
