Supply Chain Intern

About the Role

This internship focuses on contributing to operational data analysis, SLA & TAT tracking, warehouse operations exposure, inventory planning support, reporting & dashboards, and cross-functional coordination across B2C, B2B, logistics, warehouse operations, quick commerce, and inventory planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational data analysis: Analyze order, inventory, and logistics data to track supply chain network performance and identify actionable patterns.
• SLA & TAT tracking: Monitor turnaround times and service levels for warehouse and logistics, flagging deviations.
• Warehouse operations exposure: Understand day-to-day floor operations, including inbound, outbound, and inventory accuracy across fulfilment and distribution centres.
• Inventory planning support: Assist with demand-supply matching, stock allocation, and distribution planning.
• Reporting & dashboards: Build and maintain reports/dashboards on cost, availability, and efficiency metrics for operational decision-making.
• Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, retail replenishment, and planning teams to resolve operational issues.

Operational Excellence Expectations

• Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to make processes faster, cheaper, or less error-prone.
• Root-cause orientation: Investigate the reasons behind data deviations or process breakdowns.
• Process discipline: Clearly document findings and fixes for repeatability.
• Metric ownership: Track, explain, and propose improvements for assigned metrics.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong working knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivots).
• SQL or BigQuery exposure is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with dashboarding tools (Metabase, Power BI, or similar) is a plus, not mandatory.

Qualifications

• B.Tech graduate or a final year student.
• Analytical strength: Comfortable slicing, structuring, and interpreting numbers, spotting patterns, and questioning them.
• Logical, first-principles thinking: Ability to break down ambiguous operational problems.
• Genuine interest in supply chain operations: Curiosity about B2C/B2B flows, logistics networks, warehouses, quick commerce, and inventory planning.
• Ownership: Ability to take a task from raw data to a finished output independently.
• Communication: Skill to clearly explain analytical findings to non-analytical audiences.
• Basic understanding of statistics and logical/quantitative reasoning.
• Familiarity with supply chain, logistics, or operations coursework/projects is valued.
• Comfortable working with large, real-world datasets.
• Available for a 6-month internship commitment.
• Willing to work from Purplle Head Office, Vikhroli, Mumbai, with occasional site visits to FCs/DCs/dark stores.
