About the Role
Strativ Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their electrical engineering team. This role focuses on the design, integration, and troubleshooting of power systems for aircraft and ground support systems. The position is suited for an engineer with a strong foundation in power systems and embedded systems, eager to grow, own challenging projects, and see their work progress from concept to flight in a fast-paced environment focused on autonomous aviation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design circuits and subsystems for aircraft and support equipment, including complex system architectures built on custom circuitry (e.g., power management, analog, digital, servos, microcontrollers, sensors, radios).
- Design and integrate complex power systems.
- Lead avionics troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Own component selection, schematic capture, simulation, analysis, verification, debugging, and release to production.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, embedded, software, manufacturing, supply chain).
- Work closely with firmware to integrate applicable logic designs into the build and release cycle.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within hardware development projects, and propose and implement innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and aircraft reliability.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience as an electrical engineer (full-time, internship, co-op, or engineering club).
- Strong technical fundamentals.
- Demonstrated track record of extreme ownership, working hard, and delivering outstanding outcomes.
- Proactive approach to identifying improvements in hardware development projects and aircraft reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in complex power system design.
Compensation: $90,000 – $130,000 a year
